THE ORDER OF THE GUIDING LIGHT - EVERQUEST 2 GUILD - RUNNYEYE SERVER |
 |
| |
|
The ORDER OF THE GUIDING LIGHT is an EVERQUEST II GUILD on the SPLITPAW SERVER (Formerly RUNNYEYE) based in EUROPE.
We are a FUN, FRIENDLY and CASUAL guild for fun, friendly and casual players established on Runnyeye Server on 26th June 2005.
Our aim is to provide a HOME for MATURE and SENSIBLE people who like to log in occasionally for SOCIABLE and CASUAL FUN.
We are not hardcore, EVERQUEST II is something we do to escape real life and the day to day problems that we find there, we do not wish to encounter the same problems in a game environment. So we ask that EGO and ATTITUDE be left at the load in screen.
We are a FAMILY of FRIENDS and as such we have members covering all ages, backgrounds and gaming experience. We like to have a LAUGH and we enjoy BANTER but please bear in mind that we promote a FAMILY ATMOSPHERE within the guild, therefore we ask that you keep guild chat free of anything that you would not say in front of a respected family member.
The guild is known outside of the guild collectively for the actions of it's worse member.
OUR REPUTATION IS EVERYTHING:
AND THOSE THAT WOULD TARNISH IT WILL NOT GROW OLD WITH US.
We are not a raiding guild, although we do occasionally raid, this is not the guilds aim.
We are a guild striving for that fun family feeling, this is the guilds aim, therefore in guild grouping is promoted.
If you have had to solo but yearn to group this will be your new home for a long time to come.
We do not power level so don’t expect help in that, on the flip side we will instruct players in good grouping one of the fastest ways to level is with a good group.
We do not expect everyone to group all of the time because everyone had different personal needs within the game, but we do expect players to assist those that ask for assistance when they are able to.
If you are of a low level we expect you first to try to group with players of your own level.
If players of a higher level are available it is likely they will mentor down to help you, there will be times when they are busy with there own requirements like, camping a mob on a timer, or grouped elsewhere inside or outside the guild trying for that fabled item, you may not get immediate help nor should you expect everyone to drop everything instantly, if you expect too much of your guild you will be disappointed, the guild is a collection of individuals, but helpful individuals.
Advancement in the lower ranks is by earning Guild Status Points and your length of time in the guild.
Your ranking within the guild will, once you pass the lower ranks will be affected mainly by your helpfulness to others and the guild in general.
So basically after a while if you’re not helping others you wont progress far.
If you are a crafter rather than an adventurer, you will be expected to offer your services to guildies at cost or at a small profit.
Before you start playing the games seriously there are a few tools you need.
One is a decent in game map this is called eq2map from http://maps.eq2interface.com/ select the auto updating version.
For quest information visit both

If you cant open a browser while playing, then log off for a couple of minutes and go have a look at that quest you don’t understand. A couple of minutes now will save you lots of time later.
Once you have read this and you feel you would be useful to the guild, please once again ask for an invite, but this time mention you have read the guild introduction and you are happy with it, upon joining you will receive further information about the guild rules, bank rules, officer details, voice chat details, the way promotion works, and everything else we feel you need to enjoy your time with us.
